Mission: Meaningful work

What do you call a Type A editor in remission? The most affectionate term I've found is "editor at large," which basically means after spending my 20s writing and editing everyone else's stuff, I'm giving my work the best of my attention. This means my days are spent painting, writing, kissing my husband, cooking, volunteering, walking our dog, helping folks with their manuscripts and trying to help authors make sense of the marketing and publishing industries. As a practicing Christian who's part of a Buddhist meditation community, I'm in the throes of writing a book about how Buddhism helped create a bridge back to my faith.

I live in Dallas with my majorly hot and supportive husband Lee and our labrador-pyrenees, Georgia (whose photos are smattered across my Instagram account).
