A  1930s Printing Class Experiment

Tucked inside an old family scrapbook was this paper written by my great-grandfather, Harold Mahnke. A printing shop teacher in Wisconsin, here he wrote about his desire to engage the "loafy" students in school and his subsequent teaching experiments that later earned him recognition. The paper was initially formed in the 1920s, however, I'm unsure when he actually put this experience and his observations to paper.
